The management team

Meet the cats in charge.

The bakery is named after them for a reason. Three cats own this operation; the humans just have thumbs and a food handler’s license. All headshots below are official, unretouched, and approved reluctantly between naps.

All three cats in a hallway: Sugarbee peeking low on the left, Honeycrisp sitting alert in the middle, Macintosh loafed against the doorframe on the right the full board, mid-meeting — sugarbee, honeycrisp, macintosh

Macintosh

Founder Emeritus & Director of Naps

The oldest cat here, and the one who sleeps through most of it. Gray coat, white bib — business casual, permanently. Macintosh supervises the rise of every loaf by sleeping near it, and refuses to look at the camera on principle. Believes strongly in the 5am shift, wakes everyone for it, then goes straight back to bed.

Known hazard: sits on the recipe card you need.

Honeycrisp

Head of Security

The feisty one. A brown tabby with a white bib, gold eyes, and the bell collar of someone with a record — worn less for her benefit than for everyone else’s early warning. Honeycrisp meets every delivery at the door, audits every unfamiliar bag, and holds a personal grudge against the stand mixer.

Known hazard: ankles, at speed, without notice.

Sugarbee, a gray tabby cat, caught mid-lick next to a fast food cup the blep is contractual

Sugarbee

Head of Inventory (Polydactyl)

Sugarbee has extra toes, which means Sugarbee can count higher than the other two combined. Officially responsible for counting loaves, unofficially responsible for knocking exactly one off the cooling rack as a “sample.” The mitten paws also make excellent oven-mitt inspectors.

Known hazard: those extra toes open cabinets. All of them.

Full disclosure

The cats do not touch the bread.

Legally and hygienically, the management team supervises from a separate, food-safe room with a very good view and strong opinions. Every loaf is made by human hands in a home kitchen operating under Maryland cottage food rules. The cats just take the credit, set the hours, and approve the branding.
